Motokura, Ken; Ozawa, Nao; Sato, Risako; Manaka, Yuichi; Chun, Wang-Jae published an article in 2021. The article was titled 《Porous FeO(OH) Dispersed on Mg-Al Hydrotalcite Surface for One-Pot Synthesis of Quinoline Derivatives》, and you may find the article in ChemCatChem.Synthetic Route of C6H6OS The information in the text is summarized as follows:

The use of ubiquitous elements such as iron instead of expensive precious metals as catalysts is one goal toward realizing environmentally benign synthetic chem. Here, we report that porous FeO(OH) dispersed on Mg-Al hydrotalcite acts as a bifunctional heterogeneous catalyst in the one-pot synthesis of 2-substituted quinoline derivatives through dehydrogenative oxidation-cyclization reactions. The catalyst was prepared by a simple grafting method using FeCl3 and Mg-Al hydrotalcite. The prepared porous FeO(OH) possesses a higher surface area than those previously reported for α-FeO(OH) particles. The one-pot quinoline synthesis proceeded effectively under non-noble-metal catalysis in air without requiring addnl. homogeneous bases or solvents. The results came from multiple reactions, including the reaction of 1-Thiophen-2-yl-ethanone(cas: 88-15-3Synthetic Route of C6H6OS)

《A Phosphine-Free Manganese Catalyst Enables Stereoselective Synthesis of (1 + n)-Membered Cycloalkanes from Methyl Ketones and 1,n-Diols》 was published in ACS Catalysis in 2020. These research results belong to Jana, Akash; Das, Kuhali; Kundu, Abhishek; Thorve, Pradip Ramdas; Adhikari, Debashis; Maji, Biplab. Recommanded Product: 88-15-3 The article mentions the following:

Herein, we report the stereoselective synthesis of (1 + n)-membered cycloalkane from Me ketone and 1,n-diol. A manganese(I) complex bearing a phosphine-free ligand catalyzed the reaction, which involved the formation of two C-C bonds via a sequence of intermol.- and intramol.-borrowing hydrogenation reactions. It produces 2 mol of water as the sole byproduct, making the process atom economical and environmentally benign. Multisubstituted cycloalkanes were obtained in good to excellent yields with very high selectivities. A thorough mechanistic anal. by high-level DFT computation rationalizes the choice of the pincer and establishes the role of hemilability of the ligand for this efficient transformation. In 2019,Food Chemistry included an article by Zhao, Jian; Wang, Tianze; Xie, Jianchun; Xiao, Qunfei; Cheng, Jie; Chen, Feng; Wang, Shi; Sun, Baoguo. Category: benzothiophene. The article was titled 《Formation mechanism of aroma compounds in a glutathione-glucose reaction with fat or oxidized fat》. The information in the text is summarized as follows:

Glutathione and glucose with or without chicken fat/oxidized chicken fat were thermally reacted for generation of stewed meat-like aroma, where 42 sulfur-containing odorants were identified by gas chromatog.-mass spectrometry (GC-MS) and gas chromatog.-olfactometry (GC-O). The observed effects or interactions on meat flavor formation due to the fats were similar to previous reports of cysteine-reducing sugar reactions. Carbohydrate module labeling approach demonstrated ten alkyl chain compounds were indeed resulted from the lipid degradation-Maillard reaction interactions, whereas the fats had little effect on formation pathways of compounds only derived from the Maillard reaction. Formation pathways of 26 potent aroma compounds were proposed, particularly, involving two benzene derivatives and seven complex thiophenes. Notably, it was found for the first time just 2-ethylthiophene could result from both an intact skeleton of glucose and the lipid degradation product of 2,4-hexadienal, and the carbohydrate modules methylglyoxal and hydroxyacetone could arise from the glutamic acid of GSH. The information in the text is summarized as follows:

The earlier described ‘sulfonyl-azide-free (SAFE) protocol for diazo transfer to CH-acidic 1,3-dicarbonyl compounds (and their similarly activated congeners) has been extended to the less reactive monocarbonyl substrates, which previously required a sep. activation step. Formylation in situ, followed by the addition of an optimized amount of the ‘SAFE cocktail’ (obtained by mixing sodium azide, potassium carbonate, and m-carboxybenzenesulfonyl chloride in water) led to the formation of the desired diazo compounds, which were isolated by extraction in moderate to excellent yields, and, in most cases, with no need for addnl. purification1-Thiophen-2-yl-ethanone(cas: 88-15-3COA of Formula: C6H6OS) was used in this study.

Synthetic Route of C6H6OS And the article was included in Organometallics in 2020. The article conveys some information:

This report describes simple syntheses of a new class of Pd(II) pincer complexes having NNN and CNN coordination modes. The new complexes were fully characterized with the help of 1H and 13C{1H} NMR, HRMS, and IR spectroscopy. The structure and bonding modes of complexes were further authenticated with the help of single-crystal x-ray diffraction. Thermally robust and moisture-/air-insensitive Pd pincer complexes C1-C4 were used as catalysts for cross dehydrogenative coupling (CDC) reactions of two heteroarenes and are very efficient. The catalyst was successful in activating the C-H bond of a variety of heteroarenes, including benzimidazole, imidazole, benzothiazole, imidazopyridine, thiophene, and furan, with only 1.0 mol % of catalyst, achieving excellent yields of the coupled products. The catalyst showed excellent tolerance toward functional groups such as CHO, COMe, COOMe, COOEt, CONHPh, Me, CN, Br, and Cl. Further, the catalyst is reusable up to four reaction cycles with only a minor loss in its efficiency. The mechanism of the CDC reaction was studied through control experiments, and probably a Pd acetate analog of the NNN pincer ligand (C5) is the active catalyst.
