Compound 168 (1.259 g, 5.31 mmol) and compound 61 (1.00 g, 4.83 mmol) were dissolved in DMF (6.0 mL). EDC?HC1 (1.11 g, 0.476 mmol) and DMAP (0.295 g, 2.41 mmol) were added. The reaction mixture was allowed to stir at ft under Ar overnight. After stirring overnight, DI water (25 mL) was added to the reaction mixture to precipitate the product. The slurry was stirred at ft for 5 mm and was then filtered. The resulting solids were placed on high vacuum to dryness to give crude 169, which was used directly in the next step (2.058 g, 5.31 mmol, 100% yield). UPLCMS (2.5 mm method) = 1.84 mm.
