The reaction solution was cooled to room temperature, filtered, washed with ether and hexanes and dried in vacuo for 3 hrs yielding 10.56 g (108% yield) of crude grey solids of the 2-aminobenzo[4,5]thieno[3,2-d]pyrimidin-4(3H)-one.
